LBS Financial Credit Union Hosts a Paper Shredding Event at their Long Beach Marina Branch

Long Beach, CA – August 23, 2024 – LBS Financial Credit Union partnered with Southern California Shredding Services to offer the community an opportunity to safely and securely dispose of sensitive documents. The second annual shred event took place at LBS Financial’s Long Beach Marina branch located at 6457 East Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach, CA, 90803 on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The community welcomed this event with enthusiasm! On the designated day, cars were lined up as early as an hour before the event with boxes of old documents such as medical records, tax forms, and outdated financial statements. The employee volunteers and branch staff happily assisted with transferring the boxes of documents to the shred truck. Southern California Shredding representative shared that it was a very successful event and resulted in the shredding of over 5 tons of paper.

“Our members’ trust and the safety of their information is top priority, and by hosting this event, we were able to provide peace of mind that their documents were safely discarded,” said LBS Financial President & CEO, Sean Hardeman.

The credit union plans to continue hosting this free event at their Long Beach Marina branch annually for their members and the public.
