LBS Financial Credit Union Donates School Supplies to Fedde Academy in Hawaiian Gardens
Hawaiian Gardens, CA – October 16, 2023 – LBS Financial Credit Union donated thousands of school supplies to Fedde Academy in Hawaiian Gardens on September 19, 2023, as their adopted school in ABC Unified School District.
Denise Macias, the Principal of Fedde Academy, worked directly with the credit union at the beginning of the summer to create a wish list of items for the school. Their list included a variety of classroom items including art supplies, binders, classroom games, colored pencils, markers, whiteboards, and social-emotional items to support student’s mental health. The credit union purchased all of the wellness items from Fedde’s list which included anxiety relief word search puzzles and coloring books, calming stickers, fidget stress relief toys, heart-shaped stress balls, Zen gardens with a playful panda bear and more. During August, LBS Financial promoted the school supply drive for Fedde Academy with credit union members and employees to donate new school supplies throughout the month at their Cerritos location. LBS Financial also spread the word on their social media and company website.

This is LBS Financial’s thirteenth year of adopting a school in ABC USD. LBS Financial also adopted two additional schools in Bellflower Unified School District and Long Beach Unified School District and delivered their supplies in September.
