LBS Financial Credit Union Makes Holiday Donation to Families Uniting Families

Long Beach, CA – December 16, 2021 – Each year employees of LBS Financial Credit Union select a local charity to donate gifts and supplies during their Holiday Breakfast in December. With stay-at-home orders and limits on gatherings last year due to COVID-19, the Credit Union’s annual Holiday Breakfast was canceled. In accordance with the City of Long Beach and LA County guidelines, the Credit Union was able to host their first holiday breakfast in two years.

LBS Financial selected Families Uniting Families (FUF) for this year’s employee gift donation. FUF works to cultivate nurturing and knowledgeable families to protect and meaningfully enhance the welfare and stability of vulnerable children and their families. Today, FUF has safely provided care in their foster care program to approximately 1,000 children, and in total, approximately 150,000 days of care. The Credit Union’s donation will help further and provide gifts for the children and parents in their programs. In attendance was Families Uniting Families’ Executive Director, James Shrage, to accept the donation of over 400 gifts and gift cards and speak on behalf of the organization.

“All of us at LBS Financial are excited to join Families Uniting Families in providing holiday gifts for the children and parents in their program,” said LBS Financial Credit Union President and CEO, Jeffrey Napper. “We’re happy to continue this tradition in which we all have the opportunity to give back to an organization in our community.”
