Two accounts for teens

We have two accounts available for our teen Members, both with great tech options like eStatements, 30,000 fee-free ATMs nationwide, and sleek Mobile and Online Banking. Our Teen Savings account helps kids get started saving and earning dividends. Your teen will also receive a free gift with their new Membership/Savings account. The Teen Checking account comes with a convenient Debit Card* with a $200 daily limit.

FAQs

You will need your Teen's California State ID or school photo ID, as well as their social security number. Must be ages 13-17. Bring a minimum deposit of $7 ($1 one-time Membership fee per Member on the account and $5 minimum deposit). Parent/guardian must be a joint owner on the account and will also need to bring their government-issued ID and social security number. If parent/guardian is already a Member, you will only need a minimum of $6 to open the account.

Membership in the Credit Union requires a main savings account. The Teen Savings account is required and must be opened first, as it acts as the Membership account. Opening the checking account is optional.

Yes. If your youth or teen is not yet a Member (even if you are), you can open the account online. Accounts may also be opened at a branch with the parent/legal guardian present.

Yes. For our Teen Savings account, it is $5, plus a one-time membership fee of $1 (per Member on the account). For Teen Checking, there is a $20 opening deposit (no minimum balance thereafter).
