FAQs - Mobile Banking

What is Mobile Banking?

Mobile Banking is a wireless Internet-based service that allows you to do your banking safely and conveniently from your wireless phone. You can access Mobile Banking via the iPhone App, the Android App, or via an Internet browser (WAP-Wireless Application Protocol; a technical standard for accessing information over a mobile wireless network). You must currently be enrolled in CU OnLine (Online Banking) to use Mobile Banking. For security reasons, CU OnLine is not automatically enabled. You must apply from the link in the CU OnLine login box that says "Sign-Up/Reset Password." Or you may apply over the phone or in one of our branches.

How do I sign up to use the iPhoneApp or the Android App?

If you have an iPhone or iTouch device, visit the iTune's App Store, search for “LBS Financial Credit Union” and install the application. The Android App is available to Members with a phone that uses Google’s Android operating system. To download the app, just visit the Google Play store and search for “LBS Financial Credit Union” and install the application. Or click here for links to apps and more information on our Mobile Banking page.

What does it cost to use LBS Financial Mobile Banking?

Mobile Banking is a free service to Members enrolled in CU OnLine. However, your cell phone carrier may still charge for text and data usage. Check with your mobile carrier for more information.

Is Mobile Banking secure?

Your security is of our top importance. Our Mobile Banking platform uses the same robust security measures that are available in CU OnLine (online banking). Your password is required every time you sign in to Mobile Banking. We use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) which allows you to set up challenge/secret questions and an image and caption to protect access to your account.

SSL (secure sockets layer) and 128-bit encryption ensures that your connection and information are secure from outside inspection, making information unreadable as it passes over the Internet.

Only bill payments to existing payees can be made. You can only add a new payee by logging into CU OnLine.

In addition, your cell phone may have a password protection feature that you can activate to lock your phone with an additional password.

What services can I access with Mobile Banking?

View account balances and share history, view account holds, see copies of paid drafts, transfer money, pay-a-person (Popmoney) and pay bills.
